
Billy Gibbons owns and operates Billy Gibbons Farm in Prattville, Alabama, offering fresh, year-round produce such as collard greens, turnip greens, peanuts, and sweet potatoes, along with managing a 60-head cattle ranch.
Billy has run the family farm for 50 years, continuing its legacy after his father’s passing. Established in 1940, the farm has embraced organic and regenerative farming practices while transitioning its cattle operation to grass-fed production.
With this funding, the farm plans to upgrade its cooling facilities for produce and beef processing, enabling longer storage of fresh produce and processed beef for the first time. These upgrades mark an important step toward realizing a decade-long goal of building a grass-fed beef processing facility.
