Supporting faith communities and churches across North Carolina as they build food ministries rooted in justice, dignity, and community.
Come to the Table (CTTT), a RAFI program, offers flexible, hands-on support for churches and faith communities in North Carolina through a new Technical Assistance (TA) program. Whether you’re reimagining a food pantry, starting a partnership with a local farmer, or figuring out how your church can respond more deeply to hunger and injustice, this program is here to walk alongside you.
Rural churches are often the heart of their communities, showing up with deep care and generosity. However, food ministries are often under-resourced, isolated, or limited by short-term charity models. This program helps churches go further, moving toward long-term, just, and sustainable solutions that reflect their faith in action. We’re here for faith communities and churches in North Carolina that:
- Are running or planning a food ministry
- Want to deepen relationships with farmers, neighbors, and systems of change
- Are ready to explore what food justice looks like in your context

What kind of support can churches get? Support is flexible and customized to your context. Some examples include:
- Pantry Pivot: Transform your pantry to offer choice and fresh, local food
- Connect with a Farmer: Build direct sourcing relationships with local growers
- Prepare Church Land for Agriculture: Make space for growing food
- Custom Curriculum: Teach your congregation about food justice
- Visioning + Listening: Facilitate church-wide conversations about next steps
- Faith & Advocacy Training: Learn how to speak up for systemic change
- Storytelling Support: Learn how to share your ministry’s impact
- Difficult Conversations Training: Navigate change with courage and care
- Something Else? We’re open to co-creating the right support for you

How to Get Started: There’s no long application or deadline. Just follow these easy steps:
