Chainie Brannigan from Crucian Poultry Farm is a farmer from St. Croix, specializing in chickens for egg production. She started Crucian Poultry Farm in 2021, inspired by her father, who taught her to build for ourselves and grow what we consume. It’s about being more connected to our food, knowing where it comes from, and taking pride in what we raise and eat. What she loves most about farming is watching new life begin, hatching chicks and raising them from day one. The grant will support the investment in rehabilitating and improving the chicken coops.
