Dain Kim is the owner of Goodness Grove, a two-acre farm in Raleigh, North Carolina, where mixed vegetables, herbs, and flowers are grown using regenerative, no-till practices. Since starting the farm in 2023, Dain has been dedicated to nurturing both the land and the local community through sustainable growing methods.
Goodness Grove sells its harvest at a local farmers market, to a regional food hub, and via on-farm pickup, connecting customers directly with fresh, nutrient-rich produce. Dain’s favorite part of farming is hearing positive feedback from the community and knowing the farm is providing families with healthy food they can trust.
With this 2025 stipend, Goodness Grove will install a walk-in cooler, a crucial upgrade from the single two-door fridge currently in use. This addition will not only safeguard against storage failures but also expand harvest capacity and flexibility. For Dain, farming is about more than crops, it’s about growing resilience, relationships, and a healthier future.
