Angela Brigmon

Angela Brigmon is the co-owner of Brigmon Farms, a 10-acre family farm in Barnwell County, South Carolina, where she, her husband Timothy, and their children, Aliyah, Rashad, and Byron, raise heritage breed broilers, egg layers, heritage hogs, goats, ducks, and quail. Since beginning in 2002, Brigmon Farms has been rooted in a commitment to humane, healthy, and sustainable animal husbandry. Angela’s passion for farming began as a response to health concerns, and it has since grown into a way of life that prioritizes care for both animals and community.

The Brigmons sell their products at local farmers markets, where their pasture-raised meats and eggs have built strong relationships with customers who value knowing where their food comes from. With support from the 2025 RAFI Farmer Infrastructure Grant, Brigmon Farms will construct a new animal shelter to house their expanding flock of more than 200 birds.

For Angela, the most rewarding part of farming is ensuring that every animal raised for meat is treated humanely. This dedication guides Brigmon Farms’ mission to provide nourishing food produced with integrity and respect for life.
