RAFI-USA seeks a talented individual to significantly increase the ability of rural North Carolina farmers’ markets and other direct market farm outlets to serve low-wealth communities, and to evaluate the potential and limitations of SNAP/WIC at farmers’ markets as a market-based food access solution.

The Contract Farmer Organizer will conduct farmer outreach, build and maintain relationships with our farmer network, and collect research data along with contract farmers in livestock and other agricultural sectors.

RAFI seeks an organized and efficient individual to assist the project manager of theBeyond Hunger Relief Program in coordinating the logistics of the Come to the Table conference and gatherings. Come to the Table (CTTT) is an initiative whose mission is to relieve hunger while strengthening just and sustainable agriculture in rural North Carolina by engaging and mobilizing people of faith, farmers and communities. It is a joint project of RAFI and the NC Council of Churches.

The Rural Advancement Foundation International (RAFI) seeks a web designer with experience in marketing and communications for a short-term website redesign project. This is a full-time, temporary position, but can also be arranged as a contract position. The project’s duration is approximately two months, and the target completion date is December 5th.

We're looking for an individual to serve as an archivist for our unique Agricultural Reinvestment Fund program, which has funded more than 600 innovative and entrepreneurial projects on farms large and small, as well as many collaborative businesses, over the past 20 years. Our archival materials include both print and digital assets: photos, videos, newspaper and magazine articles about the program and its farmer-participants, and reports written by farmers and our staff. This position would be ideal for someone who is interested in agriculture, history, and/or small business development. Our end goal is to create an archival system for the grant program files both physical and digital, ensure that documentation is thorough and complete for all grant projects, and use the gathered information to produce media on our grant program as we reach its 20th anniversary in 2017.
