Harrison Amendment to Fracking Bill Would Address Concerns about Landowner Rights

Representative Pricey Harrison is introducing an amendment to SB820, the North Carolina fracking bill, that would address many of our major concerns with the bill. NC Attorney General's Office Issues Landowner Protection Report

The Consumer Protection Division of the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office recently released the consumer protection section of the DENR shale gas study. We support many of the reports’ findings and recommendations, but we do suggest modifications to some and substantial changes to a few. For details, please read our letter to the Division.
