Celia Borjas

MML Ventures, Cocoa, FL

Bringing a lifelong passion for sustainable agriculture to the U.S., Celia Borjas is embarking on her first year as a farmer in Cocoa, Florida. A deep-rooted connection to the land drives her commitment to raising healthy, grass-fed beef with no added hormones or antibiotics. Born and raised on a family farm in Mexico, Borjas learned firsthand the importance of ethical livestock practices. Inspired by the lack of wholesome, locally sourced beef, she is dedicated to regenerating the land and providing nourishing food for her community.

Borjas is incredibly grateful to be selected for RAFI’s grant funds! These funds will help her achieve her goal of increasing pasture subdivisions. This will not only enhance the cows’ welfare but also improve soil health. It perfectly aligns with Borjas’s commitment to sustainable and ethical farming. By implementing pasture subdivisions, the cows will enjoy new lush, tender, and nutritious grass every time they enter a rested pasture, allowing new growth to flourish.
