Hugh Miller Jr is a second-generation farmer at H&H Farms, a 200-acre family farm in Pink Hill, North Carolina. Established in the 1950s, the farm has grown into a diversified operation producing pasture-raised pork along with corn, soybeans, wheat, and oats. Hugh farms alongside his father, continuing the legacy of working the land and feeding their neighbors, a way of life both men grew up in and remain deeply committed to.
H&H Farms sells its products through local farmers markets, direct sales from the farm, and as a member of the North Carolina Natural Hog Growers Association, a co-op that connects farmers to broader markets. Customers value the farm’s pasture-raised meats, and Hugh takes pride in seeing families satisfied with food grown and raised with care.
With the support of the 2025 RAFI Farmer Infrastructure Grant, H&H Farms will convert an enclosed trailer into a refrigerated unit for processed meat deliveries. This upgrade will ensure safe, reliable transportation of their products and expand opportunities to complete sales at more sites, helping the farm strengthen its presence in the community.
