Johanna Bracho is passionate about providing the highest quality, ethically raised meat. Together with her father, Johanna is building Dreamland Pastures in Sebring, Florida. Raised in Venezuela with a deep respect for animals, Johanna has always been drawn to agriculture. Inspired by the growing demand for local, healthy meat, Johanna and her father are committed to sustainable farming practices and raising exceptional grass-fed lamb. Their goal is to nourish their community while regenerating the land.
Dreamland Pastures will use the grant funds to purchase Aeschynomene seed (a legume) to enhance their hemarthria grass (a limpograss) pastures. This combination will improve soil health, eliminate the need to import chemical nitrogen into the pasture, and provide optimal nutrition for the lambs.
