Because of the generous support of foundation partners and individuals, RAFI has raised almost $270,000 to support small and mid-scale farmers impacted by the climate disaster Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Our ongoing efforts include:
- Quick response small emergency relief payments to 70+ farmers
- Disaster assistance resources and training provided to hundreds of farmers
- Technical assistance helping 50 farmers apply for USDA disaster programs
- Phase 2 of RAFI’s disaster response includes larger infrastructure regranting to farmers to rebuild and recover
