Tony Eldridge operates Eldridge Farms in Oakwood, a small farming community in Woodlawn, TN, alongside his wife of 46 years. A fourth-generation farmer, Tony continues the legacy on property his father purchased in the early 1950s. The farm produces tobacco, hay, strawberries, and a variety of other produce and vegetables, which are marketed on-site, at food desert locations in Clarksville, TN, Nashville farmers markets, and through Second Harvest Food Banks.
Grant funds will be used to purchase a cargo van trailer equipped with a cooling unit, enhancing the farm’s ability to transport fresh produce and vegetables efficiently while maintaining their quality.
